Academic Services at Eckles Library
Economics and Math Tutoring
Economics : Drop-in Economics tutoring begins in Eckles Room 309 on Tuesdays from 6:00pm to 10:00pm starting on Tuesday, January 31st. This tutoring is for students taking Econ 1011: Principles of Economics I.
Mathematics: Drop-in Math tutoring is temporarily suspended pending tutor hiring.
During the academic year, academic tutoring sessions housed in Eckles are free and require no prior sign up -- just drop in and don’t forget to bring texts, workbooks and any specific assignments.
Tutoring in Eckles is geared toward non-major level courses (generally taken by freshmen and sophomores).
All sessions are sponsored by the Elizabeth Somers Math and Science Center of The Mount Vernon Campus. Questions and comments about tutoring can be directed to Nancy Muse in her office in Academic Bldg #208, by phone at 202-242-6670 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If Eckles doesn't provide tutoring in the subject you need there are many other ways to access tutoring services at GW. Through a collaboration between Student Academic Success and the Office of the Dean of Students, students can access free tutoring each semester. Check out the GW Tutoring Initiative Website for more details.
