In this session you will learn how to locate relevant collections at GW and elsewhere, how to request access and communicate with staff about your research, and how to prepare and keep organized once you begin working with materials on site or in a digital context. Archival theory and common practices will also be discussed to help give participants a sense of how materials are organized and described and common tools and policies that researchers might encounter.
